2018-2026 Chrysler Pacifica Auto Start Stop Eliminator | Plug & Play
Product function
Fits: 2018–2026 Chrysler Pacifica. All rows in the fitment table are marked 100% fitment match. In these years the Pacifica is a minivan offered with 3.6L V6 engines and the plug-in hybrid powertrain. Trim is not split out, so any Chrysler Pacifica in these years with factory Engine Stop-Start (ESS) and the pictured connector is covered.
Core function: From the factory, the Chrysler Pacifica turns Engine Stop-Start (ESS) on again each time the engine starts. With the plug-and-play memory harness fitted, the state you left it in carries over to the next drive.
Before you order: Match the year to a table row and make sure the Chrysler Pacifica has Engine Stop-Start (ESS). Compare your connector with the product photos. Vehicles with added remote-start or security modules should be confirmed with support.
Fitting: It plugs in line with the factory connector named in the instructions, using factory-style plugs on both ends, so nothing is cut or spliced. Nothing is reprogrammed.
Factory conditions: Stop-start vehicles use an AGM or EFB battery built for frequent restarts. Battery charge, engine temperature and cabin heating or cooling still decide whether the engine stops.
Ordering terms: No-cost standard shipping in the contiguous United States (handling 1–2 business days, transit 3–4). Pre-approved returns are accepted for 45 days, with a 20% restocking fee and customer-paid return shipping. The part has a 3-year limited warranty. Send the VIN to support@automotivebypass.com if any row is unclear. Support answers weekdays, 9–5 Pacific.

Description
Fits the 2018–2026 Chrysler Pacifica. The plug-and-play memory harness remembers the position of the stop-start button between drives, so the engine no longer shuts off at the first red light after every restart unless you want it to. It plugs in line with the factory connector named in the instructions, using factory-style plugs on both ends, so nothing is cut or spliced.
The factory button stays in place and still works. Press it and the module stores the new choice. Unplug the module and the vehicle goes back to stock behavior.
Covered model years
This part is listed for these vehicles, all marked 100% fitment match:
- Chrysler Pacifica: 2018–2026
For reference, the Chrysler Pacifica in these years is a minivan offered with 3.6L V6 engines and the plug-in hybrid powertrain. Trim levels are not split out in the table, so confirm that your vehicle has the stop-start button before ordering.
Why the button resets
The factory logic arms Engine Stop-Start (ESS) every time the engine starts. Turning it off with the button only lasts until the engine is shut down. Owners who sit in stop-and-go traffic, tow, or idle in drive-throughs often prefer it off, and that is where the repeated button press comes from.
Installing the plug-and-play memory harness
It plugs in line with the factory connector named in the instructions, using factory-style plugs on both ends, so nothing is cut or spliced. The instructions show the connector for this application; compare it with the product photos before starting. Turn the vehicle off, make the connection, fix the module in place, and test with two or three key cycles.
Diagnostics first
If the setting is not remembered, check that the module was installed with the ignition off and that the connector clicked into place. Then press the factory button once, switch the vehicle off, close the doors, give the electronics time to shut down, and start again. If it still resets, contact support with the year, trim and a photo of the connector.
What changes after installation
- Comes out in the same way it went in, with nothing cut.
- Does not disable warning lights or diagnostic functions.
- Carries your stop-start choice over to the next drive.
- Fuel use changes only the way it would if you pressed the off button yourself.
Where owners notice the difference
Drivers usually switch stop-start off for comfort or habit. A restart at every stop is noticeable in a minivan, the climate system may run at reduced output while the engine is off, and quick moves into traffic feel slower when the engine has to fire first. If those are your reasons, you probably press the button on every drive now. With the module, you press it once.
Things that already block an auto stop
The factory system will skip an auto stop for many reasons: battery charge below its threshold, cold coolant, high climate-control load, a steep grade, the hood or driver door open, or a 4WD or tow mode on vehicles that have them. Those checks stay in control after this module is installed. It does not force stops and it does not bypass any of those safety inputs.
Keep the battery healthy
The module draws its power from the vehicle and does not change charging behavior. If your Chrysler Pacifica sits for long periods, the same rules apply as without it: a maintainer helps, and a battery that tests weak should be replaced with the type specified for stop-start vehicles (usually AGM or EFB).
Confirm these points
- Model year and model match a row in the table above (2018–2026 Chrysler Pacifica).
- Your Chrysler Pacifica has the factory stop-start button. Base trims or engines without stop-start have nothing for the module to remember.
- The connector at your install point matches the one in the product photos.
- No aftermarket remote start, alarm or gateway bypass is wired into the same circuit. If one is, email support before ordering.
- The battery and charging system test good and no warning lights are on.
- If you are unsure, send your VIN to support@automotivebypass.com and we will confirm fitment.

Free standard shipping covers the contiguous US, with dispatch in 1–2 business days and 3–4 days on the road after that. Questions & Answers
Which Chrysler Pacifica years does this fit?
The listed range is 2018–2026. Check the fitment table on this page against your exact model year.
Why does my Chrysler Pacifica sometimes not auto-stop even when the system is on?
The factory logic checks battery charge, engine temperature, climate load and other inputs. If any are outside range it keeps the engine running. The module does not affect those checks.
Will Engine Stop-Start (ESS) come back on when I restart my Chrysler Pacifica?
Not if you turned it off before shutting down. The module repeats your last selection at the next start. If you leave it on, it stays on.
Can I remove it later?
Yes. Unplug the module and reconnect the factory connector; the vehicle returns to its stock default.
How does it connect?
It plugs in line with the factory connector named in the instructions, using factory-style plugs on both ends, so nothing is cut or spliced.
Does it change engine power or fuel trims?
No. It does not reprogram the engine or transmission computers. It only stores the stop-start button state.
Does it change how the battery is charged?
No. Charging is still managed by the vehicle. Stop-start vehicles normally use an AGM or EFB battery built for frequent restarts; replace it with the same type when it wears out.
Is this the same part for every Chrysler?
No. Connectors and the module that holds the stop-start state differ by platform, so this SKU is matched to the fitment rows on this page. Send the VIN to support if you are unsure.
Does the stop-start button still work after installation on the Chrysler Pacifica?
Yes. The factory button works normally. The module simply stores whatever you chose last.
Will it fix a "stop-start unavailable" message?
No. That message usually points to the battery or a sensor. Diagnose and repair that first.
Why does Engine Stop-Start (ESS) turn itself back on every time?
Automakers set stop-start to default to on at each start. Under EPA test rules, a system that stays off after shutdown is tested both on and off and the results are averaged, which lowers the rated fuel economy, so most systems reset at every key cycle. The module carries your last choice across that reset.
What happens if I unplug it?
The vehicle returns to the factory default, with Engine Stop-Start (ESS) switched on at every start.
Does my Chrysler Pacifica need the factory stop-start button for this to work?
Yes. The module works with the factory stop-start system and its button. A vehicle built without stop-start has no setting for it to remember.
