This plug-and-play memory harness is for the 2019–2025 Volkswagen Jetta. It stores the last stop-start setting you chose, so if you turned Start-Stop off on one drive, it stays off the next time you start the engine. It plugs in line with the factory connector named in the instructions, using factory-style plugs on both ends, so nothing is cut or spliced.

You can still use the original button at any time. Whatever you select last is what the module repeats on the next start. Take the module out and the vehicle behaves exactly as it did from the factory.

What the factory system does

Each start of the Volkswagen Jetta begins with Start-Stop enabled. The switch on the dash can disable it, but only until the key is cycled. This module records the switch position and repeats it after the restart, which is the entire job it does.

Scan the vehicle for stored codes, test the battery and confirm the system works normally with the factory button before installation. That baseline makes any later issue easy to pin down.

Battery notes for stop-start vehicles

The module draws its power from the vehicle and does not change charging behavior. If your Volkswagen Jetta sits for long periods, the same rules apply as without it: a maintainer helps, and a battery that tests weak should be replaced with the type specified for stop-start vehicles (usually AGM or EFB).
