Product function

Applications: 2023–2026 Nissan Rogue. All rows in the fitment table are marked 100% fitment match. In these years the Rogue is a compact SUV. No trim split is given, so check for the factory Idling Stop button and compare the connector photo.

Background: The reset comes from US fuel-economy testing rules. A system that can stay off is tested both on and off and the results averaged, which lowers the label figure.

Good to know: These vehicles carry an AGM or enhanced flooded battery for the extra cycling. A low charge, a cold engine or high climate demand can block an automatic stop regardless of the module.

Installation point: It plugs in line with the factory connector named in the instructions. Both ends are factory-style plugs, so nothing is cut or spliced. No coding or dealer visit is needed.

In short: Each restart puts Idling Stop back to its default of on. With the inline memory harness fitted, the state you left it in carries over to the next drive.

Order check: Confirm the model year and that the vehicle was built with Idling Stop. Compare your connector with the product photos.

Order details: Free shipping to the contiguous US, dispatched in 1–2 business days with about 3–4 days in transit. Returns within 45 days with pre-approval (20% restocking fee, buyer pays return postage). Covered by a 3-year limited warranty. Fitment questions go to support@automotivebypass.com (Mon–Fri, 9–5 PST); include the VIN.

Description

A inline memory harness for the 2023–2026 Nissan Rogue. Out of the factory, Idling Stop comes back on at every key cycle. This module remembers your last choice and sends it again at the next start. It plugs in line with the factory connector named in the instructions. Both ends are factory-style plugs, so nothing is cut or spliced.

It does not delete the feature. Turning stop-start back on is the same button press as before, and the module will remember that too. Removing it returns the vehicle to its original default.

Which Nissan Rogue models it fits

Listed applications (each row is a 100% fitment match for the factory connector this part uses):

  • Nissan Rogue: 2023–2026

The listing is written around the third-generation (2021-up) Rogue. Trim is not listed separately. Any trim in these years with factory stop-start and the pictured connector is covered.

How Idling Stop behaves from the factory

Each start of the Nissan Rogue begins with Idling Stop enabled. The switch on the dash can disable it, but only until the key is cycled. This module records the switch position and repeats it after the restart, which is the entire job it does.

Day-to-day use

Pressing the same button on every drive is what wears on owners. People who tow, plow, idle in pickup lines, creep through heavy traffic or simply want the engine running at a light end up making the same press dozens of times a week. On the Nissan Rogue, the module turns that into a one-time choice you can still change whenever you want.

Diagnostics first

If the setting is not remembered, check that the module was installed with the ignition off and that the connector clicked into place. Then press the factory button once, switch the vehicle off, close the doors, give the electronics time to shut down, and start again. If it still resets, contact support with the year, trim and a photo of the connector.

A note on the battery

Vehicles with stop-start normally use an AGM or EFB battery sized for repeated restarts. If you replace it, use the same type and size, and follow the manufacturer's battery reset or registration step where one exists. A wrong or unregistered battery can leave the stop-start system disabled, and that has nothing to do with this module.

Things that already block an auto stop

Auto stop needs several conditions at once: a warm engine, enough battery charge, moderate cabin heating or cooling demand, and the vehicle fully stopped with the brake held. If any is missing, the engine keeps running. The module only remembers the button state; the factory controller still decides whether a stop is allowed.

Scope of the module

  • Does not disable warning lights or diagnostic functions.
  • Fuel use changes only the way it would if you pressed the off button yourself.
  • Carries your stop-start choice over to the next drive.
  • Comes out in the same way it went in, with nothing cut.

Connecting it

It plugs in line with the factory connector named in the instructions. Both ends are factory-style plugs, so nothing is cut or spliced. The instructions show the connector for this application; compare it with the product photos before starting. Turn the vehicle off, make the connection, fix the module in place, and test with two or three key cycles.

Fitment check

  • Model year and model match a row in the table above (2023–2026 Nissan Rogue).
  • Your Nissan Rogue has the factory stop-start button. Base trims or engines without stop-start have nothing for the module to remember.
  • The battery and charging system test good and no warning lights are on.
  • The connector at your install point matches the one in the product photos.
  • No aftermarket remote start, alarm or gateway bypass is wired into the same circuit. If one is, email support before ordering.
  • If you are unsure, send your VIN to support@automotivebypass.com and we will confirm fitment.

Warranty and returns

Free standard shipping covers the contiguous US, with dispatch in 1–2 business days and 3–4 days on the road after that. You have 45 days to request a return (pre-approval required, 20% restocking fee, buyer-paid return shipping). The module is backed by a 3-year limited warranty. For order or fitment questions, write to support@automotivebypass.com between 9 and 5 Pacific, Monday through Friday.

Questions & Answers
Does the stop-start button still work after installation on the Nissan Rogue?

Yes. The factory button works normally. The module simply stores whatever you chose last.

Why does my Nissan Rogue sometimes not auto-stop even when the system is on?

The factory logic checks battery charge, engine temperature, climate load and other inputs. If any are outside range it keeps the engine running. The module does not affect those checks.

Which Nissan Rogue years does this fit?

The listed range is 2023–2026. Check the fitment table on this page against your exact model year.

Will Idling Stop come back on when I restart my Nissan Rogue?

Not if you turned it off before shutting down. The module repeats your last selection at the next start. If you leave it on, it stays on.

Can I remove it later?

Yes. Unplug the module and reconnect the factory connector; the vehicle returns to its stock default.

Does my Nissan Rogue need the factory stop-start button for this to work?

Yes. The module works with the factory stop-start system and its button. A vehicle built without stop-start has no setting for it to remember.

What happens if I unplug it?

The vehicle returns to the factory default, with Idling Stop switched on at every start.

Why does Idling Stop turn itself back on every time?

Automakers set stop-start to default to on at each start. Under EPA test rules, a system that stays off after shutdown is tested both on and off and the results are averaged, which lowers the rated fuel economy, so most systems reset at every key cycle. The module carries your last choice across that reset.

Is this the same part for every Nissan?

No. Connectors and the module that holds the stop-start state differ by platform, so this SKU is matched to the fitment rows on this page. Send the VIN to support if you are unsure.

Does it change engine power or fuel trims?

No. It does not reprogram the engine or transmission computers. It only stores the stop-start button state.

Does it change how the battery is charged?

No. Charging is still managed by the vehicle. Stop-start vehicles normally use an AGM or EFB battery built for frequent restarts; replace it with the same type when it wears out.

How does it connect?

It plugs in line with the factory connector named in the instructions. Both ends are factory-style plugs, so nothing is cut or spliced.

Will it fix a "stop-start unavailable" message?

No. That message usually points to the battery or a sensor. Diagnose and repair that first.
