Built for the 2019–2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, this plug-and-play memory harness keeps Auto Stop/Start in whatever state you left it. Press the button once, and the setting carries over to the next start. It plugs in line with the factory connector named in the instructions, using factory-style plugs on both ends, so nothing is cut or spliced.

You can still use the original button at any time. Whatever you select last is what the module repeats on the next start. Take the module out and the vehicle behaves exactly as it did from the factory.

Why the button resets

On the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Auto Stop/Start shuts the engine down at a stop and fires it back up as the brake is released. You can switch it off with the dash button, but the choice is not saved. The next ignition cycle brings the default back. The module keeps the choice you made instead.

If stop-start is not engaging

Vehicles with stop-start normally use an AGM or EFB battery sized for repeated restarts. If you replace it, use the same type and size, and follow the manufacturer's battery reset or registration step where one exists. A wrong or unregistered battery can leave the stop-start system disabled, and that has nothing to do with this module.

It plugs in line with the factory connector named in the instructions, using factory-style plugs on both ends, so nothing is cut or spliced. Because it is plug-in only, removal is the reverse: unplug the module and reconnect the factory connectors directly. Keep the original clips and trim fasteners if you remove a panel to reach the connector.

Before blaming the module

A dead or weak battery, a charging problem or an unrelated module fault will change how Auto Stop/Start behaves with or without this part installed. Scan the vehicle for stored codes, test the battery and confirm the system works normally with the factory button before installation. That baseline makes any later issue easy to pin down.
