Product function

Covered vehicles: The 2010–2016 Chevrolet Camaro. Each listed year carries a 100% fitment match. Setup steps are in the included instructions.

Before you order: Match the model and year to a fitment row. Make sure the factory TPMS works on your sensor-equipped wheels.

Pressure routine: Set pressures to the door-jamb placard value, not the sidewall maximum. Check before the tires warm up, because heat raises the reading. Include the spare and look over tread and sidewalls while you are there.

What it does: The Chevrolet Camaro listens for a radio signal from a sensor in every wheel. Missing sensors are treated as a system fault. The emulator provides the expected signals instead.

Limits: No real pressure readings reach the dash. Use a gauge and the placard pressures, checked cold, every month.

Before road use: TPMS has been required on new US light vehicles since September 1, 2007 under FMVSS No. 138. Shops are limited by 49 U.S.C. 30122, and state inspection rules vary.

Common setups: Vehicles that spend time on winter steel wheels or off-road wheels without sensors. It avoids buying and programming a second set of sensors.

Shipping, returns, warranty: Free shipping to the contiguous US, dispatched in 1–2 business days with about 3–4 days in transit. Returns within 45 days with pre-approval (20% restocking fee, buyer pays return postage). Covered by a 3-year limited warranty. Not sure? Email support@automotivebypass.com with your VIN, Monday to Friday 9–5 PST.

Description

This module is for the 2010–2016 Chevrolet Camaro. It emulates the factory TPMS sensors, so a set of wheels without sensors does not trigger the low-tire or system-fault warning on the dash. It does not measure air pressure. Once it is in use, checking pressures with a gauge is your job, not the dashboard's.

Covered applications

Each row below is listed as a 100% fitment match:

  • Chevrolet Camaro: 2010–2016

TPMS hardware can change within a model run (receiver version, sensor type), so match the exact model and year rather than the nameplate alone. Setup steps for your vehicle are in the included instructions.

Why the warning comes on

These vehicles use direct TPMS: a battery-powered sensor in each wheel sends pressure readings by radio, and a receiver in the vehicle matches each sensor by its ID. If a sensor goes quiet (dead battery, damaged sensor, or wheels without sensors), the system sets a fault. Federal standard FMVSS No. 138 requires this kind of warning on light vehicles built from September 1, 2007: a steady telltale when a tire is 25% or more below the placard pressure, and a malfunction indication that flashes for about a minute and then stays on when the system cannot work properly.

Responsible use

A TPMS emulator removes your low-pressure warning, so manual checks have to take its place: cold pressure readings from the placard, a monthly check at minimum, and a look at tread and sidewalls. Inspection and road-use rules for TPMS vary by state, and federal law limits what shops may disable. Confirm the rules for your situation before use.

Checking pressure the right way

Without TPMS warnings, a monthly routine does the job: tires cold, gauge on each valve, compare with the door-jamb placard, top up as needed, and look over the tread and sidewalls. Larger off-road or winter tires may call for different pressures than the factory placard; follow the tire maker's guidance in that case.

Where it fits in

Most buyers have wheels without sensors that they use part of the year, such as a winter set, a track set or a show set. The emulator keeps the dash clear while those wheels are on. When the original sensor-equipped wheels go back on, the factory system can be returned to normal operation following the instructions.

When the original wheels go back on

When you go back to the original sensor-equipped wheels, remove or disconnect the emulator as the instructions describe and let the vehicle recognize its sensors again. If the original sensors were rotated or replaced, the vehicle may need its normal TPMS relearn. Store the sensor wheels indoors and keep the valve caps on to keep moisture out of the valve stems.

Diagnosis first

If the TPMS light remains on after setup, confirm the part matches your exact year and model, then follow the setup steps in the instructions again. A warning that persists can also point to a receiver or body-module fault, damaged wiring, or a different TPMS configuration than the one listed. The emulator cannot repair those, so a scan of the vehicle for stored codes is the next step.

What it does and does not do

  • Supplies the TPMS signals the listed vehicle expects so the warning stays off on wheels without sensors.
  • Does not read, store or display real tire pressures.
  • Does not repair a faulty receiver, body module or wiring.
  • Does not replace pressure checks with a gauge or tire inspections.

Confirm these points

  • Your model and year match a row above (2010–2016 Chevrolet Camaro).
  • The TPMS system works normally on your original sensor-equipped wheels.
  • No aftermarket TPMS receiver or display has been added.
  • You have a tire gauge and will check pressures manually.
  • Unsure? Email your VIN to support@automotivebypass.com.

Shipping, returns and warranty

Standard shipping inside the lower 48 states costs nothing; allow 1–2 business days of handling plus 3–4 in transit. Returns need approval first and must be requested within 45 days. Approved returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee, with return shipping paid by the customer. A 3-year limited warranty applies. Email support@automotivebypass.com (Mon–Fri, 9–5 PST) with your VIN if you want a fitment check.

Questions & Answers
Can I go back to the original sensors?

Yes. Remove the emulator, refit the sensor-equipped wheels and follow the vehicle's normal TPMS procedure.

Does it measure tire pressure?

No. It supplies the signals the system expects. Check pressures with a gauge.

Which Chevrolet Camaro years does this TPMS emulator fit?

The fitment table lists Chevrolet Camaro 2010–2016. Match your exact model and year before ordering.

Why does my TPMS light flash and then stay on?

Under FMVSS No. 138, a light that flashes for about a minute and then stays on indicates a system malfunction, such as missing sensor signals, rather than low pressure.

Will it fix a TPMS receiver or module fault?

No. Receiver, wiring and module faults need their own diagnosis and repair.

Why is TPMS required on US vehicles?

The TREAD Act of 2000 directed NHTSA to require tire-pressure warnings, which led to FMVSS No. 138. All new US light vehicles built from September 1, 2007 must have it.

Will it work on a vehicle that is not listed?

Do not assume it will. TPMS receivers and sensor setups vary by model and year, so match the fitment rows or send the VIN to support.

Do I still need to check tire pressure?

Yes. Check all tires cold at least once a month with a gauge, using the pressures on the driver-side door-jamb placard.

Can a tire shop work on the vehicle with the emulator installed?

Tell the shop it is installed. Federal law restricts repair businesses from knowingly making TPMS inoperative, so some shops may ask you to remove it first.

Is it legal to use on the road?

TPMS is required equipment on new US light vehicles, and rules for owners and inspections vary by state. Check what applies before road use.
