Chevrolet Corvette 2008-2017 TPMS Sensor Emulator
Product function
Fits: 2008–2017 Chevrolet Corvette. All fitment rows are marked 100% fitment match. Setup steps are in the included instructions.
Confirm first: Check your year and model against the table. Start from a TPMS that works normally on the original sensor wheels.
In short: These vehicles use direct TPMS, with a battery-powered sensor in each wheel. Wheels without sensors trigger a malfunction warning. The emulator supplies the signals the system expects so the warning stays off.
Checking pressure: The figure that matters is on the door-jamb placard, not the tire sidewall. Check before the tires warm up, because heat raises the reading. Include the spare and look over tread and sidewalls while you are there.
Keep in mind: No real pressure readings reach the dash. A monthly cold check against the door-jamb placard replaces the dash warning. It does not repair a faulty receiver, module or wiring.
Legal note: TPMS has been required on new US light vehicles since September 1, 2007 under FMVSS No. 138. Repair businesses are restricted by 49 U.S.C. 30122 from making TPMS inoperative.
Who uses it: Owners running sensorless wheels for part of the year. It saves fitting another set of sensors to those wheels.
Shipping and warranty: No-cost standard shipping in the contiguous United States (handling 1–2 business days, transit 3–4). Pre-approved returns are accepted for 45 days, with a 20% restocking fee and customer-paid return shipping. The part has a 3-year limited warranty. Send the VIN to support@automotivebypass.com if any row is unclear. Support answers weekdays, 9–5 Pacific.

Description
TPMS sensor emulator for the 2008–2017 Chevrolet Corvette. It stands in for the factory wheel sensors so the tire-pressure monitoring system sees the signals it expects and the TPMS warning stays off when the wheels on the vehicle do not have working sensors. Keep in mind that the module reports what the system expects to see, not what is actually in the tires. A good gauge becomes your tire-pressure monitor.
Fitment
Each row below is listed as a 100% fitment match:
- Chevrolet Corvette: 2008–2017
Use the model and year rows above as the deciding check. Different receivers or sensor configurations within the same nameplate are why fitment is listed this narrowly.
How factory TPMS works on these vehicles
Every wheel on the Chevrolet Corvette normally carries a pressure sensor with its own ID, and the vehicle only listens for the IDs it has learned. Mount wheels without sensors and those IDs stop transmitting, so the system reports a fault. Under FMVSS No. 138, that fault shows as a TPMS light that flashes for roughly a minute at start-up and then stays lit, repeating on every start until the system sees its sensors again.
Using the placard pressure
Use the cold inflation pressure printed on the tire placard on the driver-side door jamb, not the maximum figure molded into the tire sidewall. "Cold" means the vehicle has been parked for about three hours or driven only a short distance. Check every tire including the spare, add air in small steps, and recheck. Doing this monthly covers most of what the TPMS warning would have told you.
Responsible use
With the emulator in place, the dashboard will not tell you about a leak. Check all four tires (and the spare) with a gauge at least once a month and before long trips, using the cold pressures on the door-jamb placard, and look for nails, cuts and bulges while you are there. Federal law also bars dealers and repair businesses from knowingly disabling required safety equipment, and state inspection rules differ, so check what applies to your vehicle and use before running it on the road.
Where it fits in
The usual situation is a second wheel set: dedicated winter wheels, track wheels or off-road wheels that were never fitted with sensors. Buying and programming a second set of sensors costs money and time, and without them the TPMS light stays on all season. An emulator covers that set while the original wheels and sensors sit in storage.
Switching between wheel sets
Most owners switch between two sets of wheels once or twice a year. Keep the instructions with the emulator so the swap is easy to repeat, and note which wheels were on which corner. If you have the original sensor wheels mounted again and the light stays on, run the vehicle's standard TPMS relearn procedure.
Troubleshooting
Before installation, make sure the TPMS system works on the original wheels. If it already shows a fault with good sensors fitted, the problem is in the vehicle (receiver, module or wiring), and that needs repair first. Starting from a working system makes the emulator setup straightforward to check.
What it does and does not do
- Supplies the TPMS signals the listed vehicle expects so the warning stays off on wheels without sensors.
- Does not read, store or display real tire pressures.
- Does not repair a faulty receiver, body module or wiring.
- Does not replace pressure checks with a gauge or tire inspections.
Confirm these points
- Your model and year match a row above (2008–2017 Chevrolet Corvette).
- The TPMS system works normally on your original sensor-equipped wheels.
- No aftermarket TPMS receiver or display has been added.
- You have a tire gauge and will check pressures manually.

Questions & Answers
Is it legal to use on the road?
TPMS is required equipment on new US light vehicles, and rules for owners and inspections vary by state. Check what applies before road use.
Does it measure tire pressure?
No. It supplies the signals the system expects. Check pressures with a gauge.
Will it fix a TPMS receiver or module fault?
No. Receiver, wiring and module faults need their own diagnosis and repair.
Which Chevrolet Corvette years does this TPMS emulator fit?
The fitment table lists Chevrolet Corvette 2008–2017. Match your exact model and year before ordering.
Can a tire shop work on the vehicle with the emulator installed?
Tell the shop it is installed. Federal law restricts repair businesses from knowingly making TPMS inoperative, so some shops may ask you to remove it first.
Why does my TPMS light flash and then stay on?
Under FMVSS No. 138, a light that flashes for about a minute and then stays on indicates a system malfunction, such as missing sensor signals, rather than low pressure.
Will it work on a vehicle that is not listed?
Do not assume it will. TPMS receivers and sensor setups vary by model and year, so match the fitment rows or send the VIN to support.
Do I still need to check tire pressure?
Yes. Check all tires cold at least once a month with a gauge, using the pressures on the driver-side door-jamb placard.
Can I go back to the original sensors?
Yes. Remove the emulator, refit the sensor-equipped wheels and follow the vehicle's normal TPMS procedure.
Why is TPMS required on US vehicles?
The TREAD Act of 2000 directed NHTSA to require tire-pressure warnings, which led to FMVSS No. 138. All new US light vehicles built from September 1, 2007 must have it.
