Check vehicle fitment

Chevrolet Silverado 2500 / 2500 HD / HD Classic 2007-2016 TPMS Sensor Emulator
Product function
Vehicle fitment: 2007–2009, 2014–2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Classic and 2008–2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD. All fitment rows are marked 100% fitment match. Setup steps are in the included instructions.
Core function: These vehicles use direct TPMS, with a battery-powered sensor in each wheel. Missing sensors are treated as a system fault. The emulator provides the expected signals instead.
Confirm first: Check your year and model against the table. A receiver fault on the original wheels has to be fixed first.
Reversibility: Refit the original wheels and follow the instructions to restore normal operation. The vehicle may need its normal TPMS relearn afterwards.
Tire care: Use the cold inflation pressure on the driver-side door-jamb placard, not the maximum on the sidewall. Cold means parked for about three hours or driven only a short distance. Note the readings so a slow leak shows up early.
Rules: FMVSS No. 138 requires TPMS on new US light vehicles built from September 1, 2007. 49 U.S.C. 30122 bars dealers and repair shops from knowingly disabling it, so some shops may decline to fit the emulator.
Keep in mind: It reports what the system expects, not what is in the tires. A monthly cold check against the door-jamb placard replaces the dash warning.
Shipping and warranty: Ships free within the lower 48 states: 1–2 business days to dispatch, 3–4 more on the road. A 45-day return window applies once a return is approved, less a 20% restocking fee and return shipping. 3-year limited warranty. Not sure? Email support@automotivebypass.com with your VIN, Monday to Friday 9–5 PST.

Description
For the 2007–2009, 2014–2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Classic and 2008–2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD: an emulator that supplies the TPMS signals the vehicle is looking for. Typical use is a second set of wheels that has no sensors, where the factory system would otherwise keep its warning lit. It does not measure air pressure. Once it is in use, checking pressures with a gauge is your job, not the dashboard's.
Vehicles and years
Each row below is listed as a 100% fitment match:
- Chevrolet Silverado 2500: 2007–2009, 2014–2016
- Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Classic: 2007
- Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD: 2008–2016
TPMS hardware can change within a model run (receiver version, sensor type), so match the exact model and year rather than the nameplate alone. Setup steps for your vehicle are in the included instructions.
How factory TPMS works on these vehicles
TPMS became mandatory on new US light vehicles (10,000 lb GVWR or less) on September 1, 2007, under FMVSS No. 138. The required system warns when a tire falls 25% below the recommended cold pressure, and separately flags a malfunction with a flashing-then-steady light. On the Chevrolet, a missing sensor signal is treated as a malfunction, which is the warning this emulator is meant to address.
Troubleshooting
A light that will not clear usually means a mismatch: a different year or receiver version than the listing, or a setup step that did not complete. Re-check the fitment rows and instructions. If they match, scan for codes, because a receiver or module fault will keep the light on regardless of what is installed.
When owners use an emulator
The usual situation is a second wheel set: dedicated winter wheels, track wheels or off-road wheels that were never fitted with sensors. Buying and programming a second set of sensors costs money and time, and without them the TPMS light stays on all season. An emulator covers that set while the original wheels and sensors sit in storage.
Safety and legal notes
With the emulator in place, the dashboard will not tell you about a leak. Check all four tires (and the spare) with a gauge at least once a month and before long trips, using the cold pressures on the door-jamb placard, and look for nails, cuts and bulges while you are there. Federal law also bars dealers and repair businesses from knowingly disabling required safety equipment, and state inspection rules differ, so check what applies to your vehicle and use before running it on the road.
Seasonal wheel swaps
Most owners switch between two sets of wheels once or twice a year. Keep the instructions with the emulator so the swap is easy to repeat, and note which wheels were on which corner. If you have the original sensor wheels mounted again and the light stays on, run the vehicle's standard TPMS relearn procedure.
Checking pressure the right way
Without TPMS warnings, a monthly routine does the job: tires cold, gauge on each valve, compare with the door-jamb placard, top up as needed, and look over the tread and sidewalls. Larger off-road or winter tires may call for different pressures than the factory placard; follow the tire maker's guidance in that case.
Scope
- Supplies the TPMS signals the listed vehicle expects so the warning stays off on wheels without sensors.
- Does not read, store or display real tire pressures.
- Does not repair a faulty receiver, body module or wiring.
- Does not replace pressure checks with a gauge or tire inspections.
Confirm these points
- Your model and year match a row above (2007–2009, 2014–2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Classic and 2008–2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD).
- The TPMS system works normally on your original sensor-equipped wheels.
- No aftermarket TPMS receiver or display has been added.
- You have a tire gauge and will check pressures manually.

Questions & Answers
Why does my TPMS light flash and then stay on?
Under FMVSS No. 138, a light that flashes for about a minute and then stays on indicates a system malfunction, such as missing sensor signals, rather than low pressure.
Will it fix a TPMS receiver or module fault?
No. Receiver, wiring and module faults need their own diagnosis and repair.
Is it legal to use on the road?
TPMS is required equipment on new US light vehicles, and rules for owners and inspections vary by state. Check what applies before road use.
Does it measure tire pressure?
No. It supplies the signals the system expects. Check pressures with a gauge.
Which Chevrolet years does this TPMS emulator fit?
The fitment table lists Chevrolet Silverado 2500 2007–2009, 2014–2016; Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Classic 2007; Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD 2008–2016. Match your exact model and year before ordering.
Do I still need to check tire pressure?
Yes. Check all tires cold at least once a month with a gauge, using the pressures on the driver-side door-jamb placard.
Can a tire shop work on the vehicle with the emulator installed?
Tell the shop it is installed. Federal law restricts repair businesses from knowingly making TPMS inoperative, so some shops may ask you to remove it first.
Why is TPMS required on US vehicles?
The TREAD Act of 2000 directed NHTSA to require tire-pressure warnings, which led to FMVSS No. 138. All new US light vehicles built from September 1, 2007 must have it.
Can I go back to the original sensors?
Yes. Remove the emulator, refit the sensor-equipped wheels and follow the vehicle's normal TPMS procedure.
Will it work on a vehicle that is not listed?
Do not assume it will. TPMS receivers and sensor setups vary by model and year, so match the fitment rows or send the VIN to support.
