Chevrolet Spark 2011-2016 TPMS Sensor Emulator
Product function
Applications: Listed for the 2011–2016 Chevrolet Spark. Each listed year carries a 100% fitment match. Follow the included instructions for your model.
Core function: Direct TPMS on these models matches each wheel sensor by its ID. Wheels without sensors trigger a malfunction warning. The emulator provides the expected signals instead.
Checking pressure: Use the cold inflation pressure on the driver-side door-jamb placard, not the maximum on the sidewall. Measure before driving, since warm tires read higher. Note the readings so a slow leak shows up early.
Limits: No real pressure readings reach the dash. A monthly cold check against the door-jamb placard replaces the dash warning.
Going back: Swapping back is covered in the included instructions. A standard relearn may be needed if sensors were moved or replaced.
Before road use: Federal standard FMVSS No. 138 made TPMS mandatory on light vehicles from September 2007. 49 U.S.C. 30122 bars dealers and repair shops from knowingly disabling it, so some shops may decline to fit the emulator.
Order check: Check your year and model against the table. A receiver fault on the original wheels has to be fixed first.
Shipping, returns, warranty: Ships free within the lower 48 states: 1–2 business days to dispatch, 3–4 more on the road. A 45-day return window applies once a return is approved, less a 20% restocking fee and return shipping. 3-year limited warranty. Fitment questions go to support@automotivebypass.com (Mon–Fri, 9–5 PST); include the VIN.

Description
TPMS sensor emulator for the 2011–2016 Chevrolet Spark. It stands in for the factory wheel sensors so the tire-pressure monitoring system sees the signals it expects and the TPMS warning stays off when the wheels on the vehicle do not have working sensors. Keep in mind that the module reports what the system expects to see, not what is actually in the tires. A good gauge becomes your tire-pressure monitor.
Fitment
Each row below is listed as a 100% fitment match:
- Chevrolet Spark: 2011–2016
Within these years the receiver and sensor configuration is what the emulator has to match, which is why the listing is split by model and year. The included instructions cover setup for each listed vehicle.
How factory TPMS works on these vehicles
These vehicles use direct TPMS: a battery-powered sensor in each wheel sends pressure readings by radio, and a receiver in the vehicle matches each sensor by its ID. If a sensor goes quiet (dead battery, damaged sensor, or wheels without sensors), the system sets a fault. Federal standard FMVSS No. 138 requires this kind of warning on light vehicles built from September 1, 2007: a steady telltale when a tire is 25% or more below the placard pressure, and a malfunction indication that flashes for about a minute and then stays on when the system cannot work properly.
Diagnosis first
Before installation, make sure the TPMS system works on the original wheels. If it already shows a fault with good sensors fitted, the problem is in the vehicle (receiver, module or wiring), and that needs repair first. Starting from a working system makes the emulator setup straightforward to check.
Safety and legal notes
A TPMS emulator removes your low-pressure warning, so manual checks have to take its place: cold pressure readings from the placard, a monthly check at minimum, and a look at tread and sidewalls. Inspection and road-use rules for TPMS vary by state, and federal law limits what shops may disable. Confirm the rules for your situation before use.
When owners use an emulator
The usual situation is a second wheel set: dedicated winter wheels, track wheels or off-road wheels that were never fitted with sensors. Buying and programming a second set of sensors costs money and time, and without them the TPMS light stays on all season. An emulator covers that set while the original wheels and sensors sit in storage.
Seasonal wheel swaps
Most owners switch between two sets of wheels once or twice a year. Keep the instructions with the emulator so the swap is easy to repeat, and note which wheels were on which corner. If you have the original sensor wheels mounted again and the light stays on, run the vehicle's standard TPMS relearn procedure.
Using the placard pressure
Use the cold inflation pressure printed on the tire placard on the driver-side door jamb, not the maximum figure molded into the tire sidewall. "Cold" means the vehicle has been parked for about three hours or driven only a short distance. Check every tire including the spare, add air in small steps, and recheck. Doing this monthly covers most of what the TPMS warning would have told you.
What it does and does not do
- Supplies the TPMS signals the listed vehicle expects so the warning stays off on wheels without sensors.
- Does not read, store or display real tire pressures.
- Does not repair a faulty receiver, body module or wiring.
- Does not replace pressure checks with a gauge or tire inspections.
Fitment check
- Your model and year match a row above (2011–2016 Chevrolet Spark).
- The TPMS system works normally on your original sensor-equipped wheels.
- No aftermarket TPMS receiver or display has been added.
- You have a tire gauge and will check pressures manually.

Shipping, returns and warranty
Free standard shipping covers the contiguous US, with dispatch in 1–2 business days and 3–4 days on the road after that. You have 45 days to request a return (pre-approval required, 20% restocking fee, buyer-paid return shipping). The module is backed by a 3-year limited warranty. Questions & Answers
Does it measure tire pressure?
No. It supplies the signals the system expects. Check pressures with a gauge.
Is it legal to use on the road?
TPMS is required equipment on new US light vehicles, and rules for owners and inspections vary by state. Check what applies before road use.
Which Chevrolet Spark years does this TPMS emulator fit?
The fitment table lists Chevrolet Spark 2011–2016. Match your exact model and year before ordering.
Why does my TPMS light flash and then stay on?
Under FMVSS No. 138, a light that flashes for about a minute and then stays on indicates a system malfunction, such as missing sensor signals, rather than low pressure.
Will it work on a vehicle that is not listed?
Do not assume it will. TPMS receivers and sensor setups vary by model and year, so match the fitment rows or send the VIN to support.
Can a tire shop work on the vehicle with the emulator installed?
Tell the shop it is installed. Federal law restricts repair businesses from knowingly making TPMS inoperative, so some shops may ask you to remove it first.
Can I go back to the original sensors?
Yes. Remove the emulator, refit the sensor-equipped wheels and follow the vehicle's normal TPMS procedure.
Why is TPMS required on US vehicles?
The TREAD Act of 2000 directed NHTSA to require tire-pressure warnings, which led to FMVSS No. 138. All new US light vehicles built from September 1, 2007 must have it.
Will it fix a TPMS receiver or module fault?
No. Receiver, wiring and module faults need their own diagnosis and repair.
Do I still need to check tire pressure?
Yes. Check all tires cold at least once a month with a gauge, using the pressures on the driver-side door-jamb placard.
